American Dreams is the first book in the Beyond New Boundaries series which takes the reader on a journey through time spanning over one hundred years, past, present and future, as experienced by members of a large Italian American family, the Velari’s. The storyline is a mixture of fact, fiction and fantasy; often a reflection of life in America. Geno and Maria Velari migrated from Italy to the United States and purchased land in California to farm & ranch. They are on the top of the Velari Family Tree in American Dreams and are the typically wonderful Italian couple who have several children. They live in love; close to the land. Together, with well-compensated workers, they build a food production empire which becomes very successful as their product line increases and their range of distribution enlarges. Their kids grow up healthy and strong, build their lives and have kids of their own. The key Velari characters in the series are mostly second generation Americans, Geno and Maria’s grandchildren. The Beyond New Boundaries series is a multi-faceted saga about transforming our world, body/mind/spirit/environment, by the power of being centered in love. Through individual characters’ knowledge, understanding, experiences, relationships, perceptions, challenges, accomplishments, desires and dreams true-to-life situations are portrayed with a progressive approach to provoke positive change in how humanity lives on the face of the Earth. At a family gathering, the second generations of Velari cousins gather around the glowing embers of the fire ring on the river’s edge on their grandparents’ vast property and share a dream... Decades later, several of them mysteriously disappear simultaneously, along with several hundred people from around the world in American Dreams. As the mystery unfolds, reporter Steve Gray, an in-law to the Velari family, becomes obsessed with his investigation of the missing family members which include his brother, his sister in-law and his five nephews. Several main characters are introduced in detail in American Dreams which develops the foundation for the storyline throughout the Beyond New Boundaries series.
